Our recent Astronomy Workshop was a stellar experience for our students! They were thrilled to get on a journey of discovery, filled with “wow” moments as they learned about planets and stars.
The workshop wasn’t just about theory! Our young astronomers got to gaze upon the wonders of the universe firsthand, peering at Jupiter and Saturn through a powerful telescope. They even learned to identify planets they could see with just their naked eyes.
However the learning went beyond passive observation. Students got hands-on, crafting their sundials, sextants, and other astronomical tools. These creations helped them tangibly grasp various astronomical concepts.
One of the highlights was creating planispheres – special maps that helped them navigate the night sky and locate specific stars or planets. This activity truly solidified their understanding of the cosmos.
The Astronomy Workshop at Auromira wasn’t just about facts and figures; it was about igniting a sense of wonder and exploration in our students. They left the workshop with a newfound appreciation for the universe’s vastness and a thirst to learn more about its secrets.
